Ylang Ylang (pronounced ee-lang, ee-lang), is the flower of a tree growing in tropical Asian countries like Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Besides having a wonderful smell, it is said to have several important health benefits including antiseptic properties, healing for damaged, irritated skin, and stress relief/antidepressant properties. Cedarwood essential oil is said to have anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antiseptic, and antimicrobial properties. It may also be beneficial for skin conditions like reducing the appearance of scars, treating minor wounds, alleviating arthritis pain, and soothing symptoms of eczema.
